The Kite Runner is the first novel that was written by Afghan-American author Khaled Hosseini. This novel was published in 2003 by Riverhead books. About Khaled Hosseini:
Khaled Hosseini was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1965. In March 2001, while practicing medicine, Hosseini began writing his first novel The Kite Runner that debut went on to become an international bestseller and beloved classic, sold in at least 17 countries and his novel spends more than a hundred weeks on the list of New York Times bestseller list. He published three novels and three become bestseller of the time. The early times of the author are tough and his family struggled to make ends meet and assimilate into a new culture but the hosseinis preserved. After earning his bachelor’s degree in biology, Hosseini earned his medical degree from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine in 1993.
