About Inkheart Novel

Inkheart novel is a 2003 young adult fantasy novel that was written by Cornelia Funke. It is the first book of the Inkheart trilogy. Inheart novel is based on a 2007 online poll, the National Education Association named the book one of its teacher’s top 100 books for children. In this novel, the writer writes a story about a girl named Meggie who is 12 years old. She, later on, learned that her father, who repairs old books and binds them for a living can also, reads the fictional characters to life when one of those characters abducts them and tries to force him into service. Meggie the main character of this novel have only her father to herself since her mother went away when she was young. Mo the father of Meggie told her daughter to read when she was only five, and the two shares a mutual love of books. He can easily read the characters out of books. When Meggie was only three years old, he read aloud from a book called Inkheart and released the characters into the real world. The writer of this novel amazingly describes the joys, terrors, and pitfalls of reading. Each chapter of the novel is headed by a quotation from a classic Peter Pan, The BFG, and The wind in the willows, The Hobbit and many more. The novel relates how the villainous basta and his horrible boss, Capricorn, appear kidnap Mo and are tracked to their hideout in a ruined Italian village. The main problem in this storyline is that two villains are two-dimensional characters. The books give a feel about them as it used to feel about the pirates in Treasure Island that is a book frequently mentioned in Inkheart. The characters in this book may appeal more if they seemed more real, but unfortunately, the characters are not real as they must be shown. The book have fairies, trolls, dire beasts and magic in it, when the villains are at last defeated and the denizens of the book tumble into reality.
