The war of the worlds is a science fiction novel by English author H.G. Wells. The novel has been related to invasion literature of the time. The novel has been variously interrupted as a commentary on evolution theory, British imperialism and generally Victorian Superstitious, fears and prejudices. The War of the Worlds has been both popular and influential, spawning half a dozen feature films, radio dramas and sequels or parallel stories by other authors. Wells in The War of the Worlds. This novel itself presents as a factual account pf the Martian invasion. The narrator is a middle class writer of philosophical papers, somewhat reminiscent of Doctor Kemp in The Invisible Man, with characteristics similar to author Wells at the time of writing. In this book a sneak attack on England is discussed. The War of the world is criticized but H.G. Wells described that this story is about us. The War of the World is about what happen when 19th century England is attacked by Martians. This book is focused on England and the 19th century. The novel also dramatizes the ideas of race presented in social Darwinism. The novel originated several enduring Martian tropes in science fiction writing. These include Mars being an ancient world, nearing the end of its life, being the home of a superior civilization capable of advanced feats of science and engineering.

Herbert George H.G. Wells was born on 21st September, 1866 and died on 13 August, 1946. He was prolific in many genres, including the novel, history, politics, social commentary, and textbooks and rules for war games. Wells is now best remembered for his science fiction novels and is also called a father of science fiction along with Jules Verne and Hugo Gernsback. He is most notable science fiction works include The Time Machine (1895), The Island of Doctor Moreau (1896), The War of the Worlds (1898). He was also nominated for the Nobel prize in literature four times.
